Clallam County commissioners today are expected to approve signing the warranty deed to the first of several proposed property acquisitions intended to improve salmon habitat near the mouth of the Dungeness River.
“There are three owners that are interested in actually signing and selling,” county Salmon Recovery Planner Cathy Lear told the commissioners Monday.
River’s End Road property owner Joseph Lujan’s warranty deed for about a half-acre goes before the commissioners, and their signatures puts the property in escrow until the sale becomes final.
Next in line, awaiting final paperwork, are River’s End Road parcels owned by Denny and Gail Secord and the Anthony J. Harris trust, Lear said.
Those parcels, which total about 2½ more acres, could go before the commissioners within the next two weeks.
