Olympic Corrections Center Superintendent Sandra Morgan has been named interim superintendent of Clallam Bay Corrections Center.
Carter has served as Olympic Corrections superintendent since 1998. Prior to that, she served stints as the associate superintendent at Washington Corrections Center for Women and McNeil Island Corrections Center.
Carter begins work as assistant superintendent of the maximum-security prison in Clallam Bay on Dec. 3.
Outgoing Superintendent Richard “Dick”‘ Morgan is leaving the job to accept a promotion to superintendent of Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla.
Morgan will be replacing retiring Superintendent John Lambert.
