Our West End correspondent, Lonnie Archibald, took this photo Thursday night on U.S. Highway 101 near the junction with state Highway 113 in Sappho.
This car struck a power pole, knocking out power in the area for between 2.5 and 6 hours, depending on location, according to several residents who notified us.
The 8:05 p.m. crash brought out the Beaver fire department, Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, the State Patrol and Forks paramedics.
Three people were transported by ambulance to Forks Community Hospital, Archibald reports.
The collision caused power lines to burn, causing the outage.
