CHIMACUM — Claudia Edmondson has been named executive director of Camp Beausite, a camp near Chimacum for children and adults with disabilities.
Edmondson has a doctorate in special education from Utah State University and a master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling from the University of South Alabama.
She has more than 15 years of experience working in disability services, including experience as a camp program manager.
In announcing Edmondson’s appointment, the camp’s board of directors said that under her leadership, and with the dedication of staff and volunteers and the continued support of the NW Kiwanis Clubs of Jefferson, Clallam and surrounding counties, “Camp Beausite intends to expand the opportunities it provides so even more individuals to participate in camp experiences.”
