SEQUIM — Lavish Day Spa is now open at 145 E. Washington St., Suite C.

The spa offers a variety of services, including massage therapy, skin care and hair removal.

Owner and operator Kristine Smith has been an independent massage therapist on Whidbey Island since 2003 and has won several awards, including “The Best of Whidbey” for massage therapy in 2009.

She completed her esthetician schooling in 2012 and has been practicing at salons in Anacortes and Port Angeles.

Open house set Thursday in Sequim

SEQUIM — An open house at Dungeness Speech and Language, 803 Carlsborg Road, will be held from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Parents, children and professionals are invited to stop by to meet certified speech-language pathologist Dana Braswell.

Refreshments and storybook sharing are available at 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
