SHINE — Weekday traffic will be disrupted on the Hood Canal Bridge beginning today while crews make repairs to a portion of the bridge that allows the floating span to rise and fall with the tide.
From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Friday this week and each weekday from Monday, Sept. 14, through Friday, Oct. 2, drivers will encounter narrow and realigned lanes on the eastern half of the bridge.
While crews will keep one lane open in each direction, over-legal-size loads will not be allowed.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday from Sept. 14 through Oct. 2, the bridge may close multiple times to all traffic for up to 30 minutes at a time for maintenance work in addition to typical closures for boat traffic.
