LAPUSH — A logger critically injured when he was struck by a falling tree was airlifted by a Coast Guard helicopter crew today.
The Clallam County Sheriff’s Department identified 46-year old Douglas Larson of Forks as the timber faller who was struck on steep terrain off the D-1000 logging road system about 8 miles west of Forks.
Larson, with J-D-L Contracting, was suffered injuries to the left shoulder and back by co-worker and business owner Jimmy Leppell.
