PORT ANGELES – Phase one of the two-year $6 million Port Angeles Boat Haven renovation project is the most prominent item in a 2008 Port of Port Angeles budget that also includes a property tax rate the same as last year’s.
The budget doesn’t include adjustments in the number of positions or amount of salaries.
Port Executive Director Bob McChesney said that the mid-October reorganization that included the elimination of two positions – properties manager Pat Deja and planning manager Susan Bauer – aren’t reflected in the port’s 2008 budget.
“There’s most likely to be further reorganization,” he said.
“So we decided to keep the [number of positions and total salaries] the same and make adjustments as we go along.”
The three-person port commission unanimously approved the agency’s annual spending blueprint at Monday’s port meeting.
