PORT ANGELES — Bloodworks Northwest will conduct a blood drive Monday and Tuesday.
The drive, which is by appointment only, will be at the Port Angeles Senior and Community Center, 328 E. Seventh St.
According to a press release, demand for blood and blood products remains high while supply has dropped due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Since the bloodmobile does not have enough room for appropriate distancing, this drive will be set up inside the senior center.
Additionally, due to distancing concerns, no walk-in donors can be accepted, only those with appointments.
All donations will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies to see if donors might also be eligible to donate to the Bloodworks Northwest COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma Program.
