PORT ANGELES — Serenity House of Clallam County has received a $2,500 grant to help a new program for homeless youths.
The Bank of America Charitable Foundation awarded the grant Friday.
It will support development of DreamU, created to increase the employability of local youths and young adults who seek aid from Serenity House’s homeless youth program.
“Bank of America is very supportive of youth job creation,” said Jeff Allen, manager of the Port Angeles branch.
“Right now, this is our main push.”
Serenity House, founded in 1982, is a community-based private nonprofit dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness in Clallam County.
