FORKS — The Forks City Council is accepting applications to fill a vacant seat on the council until 5 p.m. May 21.

Grant is moving with his wife, Nettie, who resigned from the council on March 24.
Under the provisions of RCW 42.12.010, the city council has up to 90 days from the effective date of Grant’s resignation to select a replacement, who will serve through Dec. 31, 2025.
Applicants must be registered voters who reside within the city limits.
Grant’s replacement also must submit a report to the state’s Public Disclosure Commission.
