PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Auditor’s Office has begun accepting business proposals today for a replacement vehicle/vessel licensing subagency in Forks.
The auditor serves as the agent for the state Department of Licensing.
As of Tuesday, application packages are available at the Auditor’s Office at 223 E. Fourth St., Suite 1, Port Angeles, or online at http://www.clallam.net/.
Completed applications must be submitted to the Clallam County Auditor’s Office no later than 4:30 p.m. April 1.
Interested applicants are urged to contact Sandy Williams, chief deputy auditor, at 360-417-2225 for more information.
The former West End vehicle licensing subagent resigned Nov. 30. In December, Auditor Shoona Riggs said that it would take a few months to select and train a new subagent before the office could be opened to customers.
In the meantime, West End residents can visit the Clallam County Auditor’s Office or the Sequim Licensing Depot LLC at 649 W. Washington St., in Sequim for vehicle and vessel licensing transactions.
See www.clallam.net/Auditor for more information.
Tab renewals and reports of sale also can be processed online at www.dol.wa.gov.
