VIDEO — Interview at Concert on the Dock in Port Townsend

MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST NINA Jurczynski chats with Mari Mullen, executive director of the Port Townsend Main Street Program, and members of the Impulse trio at Thursday’s Concert on the Dock at Pope Marine Park plaza, Water and Madison streets, on the Port Townsend waterfront.

Impulse’s three members are Skip Morris, George Radebaugh and Tom Svornich. The trio blends fusion, funk, jazz and popular songs from the past few decades.

(A few seconds of the band playing is at the end of the video.)

The free Concert on the Dock outdoor series this summer has been extended an extra week, due to bad weather at the first show. A local band, The Better Half, will play funk, rock and soul at the final concert next Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Concert on the Dock is sponsored by the Port Townsend Main Street Program and the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, with the support of local business sponsors and the city of Port Townsend.

The Port Townsend Main Street Program is committed “to the preservation and economic vitality of the historic business districts, while maintaining our small town quality of life.” For more information, click on http://www.ptmainstreet.org/page1/page1.html.
