PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County Historical Society and Washington State Parks will host an open house from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The open house is at Rothschild House State Park, 418 Taylor St.
The Rothschild House, built in 1868, has been a state park managed by the Jefferson County Historical Society since 1962.
The house has been closed this summer for a complete inventory of its contents by Erika Chester, a Rothschild descendant.
The public is invited to tour the house, bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on the grounds and live music
Chester will be on hand to discuss some of her favorite objects from her inventory of the house.
