Port Angeles singer part of winning Sweet Adelines quartet

SPOKANE — Port Angeles resident Connie Alward was part of the Sweet Adelines quartet “Wink” that won first place at the Sweet Adelines International Region 13 competition held April 5 in Spokane.

Alward is the director of the Grand Olympics Chorus in Sequim and has recently earned the title of Certified Director from Sweet Adelines International.

The quartet will travel to New Orleans to perform in the international competition Sept. 18.
