A delight awaits bicyclist Jeff Arnim at the end of the final stretch of his 6,448-mile bicycle journey, “Between the Ends of America . . . Day 126: Sekiu, WA to near Neah Bay, WA”:

”’And then Hobuck Beach becomes a mess of hugs and kisses, smiles and laughter, tears of joy, and talk of weddings and honeymoons and who we’re going to call first.

“It’s the best day of my life.

“It’s the best day of our life.”

Cutline: My niece Brooke Stromberg and Lacy, both 15, make a winning turn during a barrel racing competition during an April game show in 2008  at JeffCo fairgrounds.   Later, the duo became the 2008 Washington High School Equestrian Team  and Patterned Speed Horse Association’s (junior division) state champions in barrel racing. Both shows were held in Wenatchee.
