Outdoor concerts in Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Sequim this week

PACK UP A picnic dinner, grab your lawn chair or a blanket — don’t forget your sunglasses if it’s sunny or a coat if it’s chilly — and head to one of the free and family-friendly outdoor concerts in Jefferson and Clallam counties this week:

■ SEQUIM — Tuesday, Old Sidekicks (country) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The concert is at the James Center for the Performing Arts amphitheater in the Sequim Water Reuse Park, 563 N. Rhodefer Road, just north of Carrie Blake Park.

This is part of the city of Sequim’s Music and a Movie in the Park series every Tuesday through Aug. 30.

Seating is not provided.

Next concert, Aug. 9 — Kevin Lee Magner and Bound to Happen (original folk, rock and blues).

■ PORT ANGELES — Wednesday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Bound to Happen (rock).

This is part of the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Concert on the Pier series.

Concerts are every Wednesday through Sept. 7 at City Pier.

Vendors sell food. City Pier is a no-smoking, alcohol-free venue.

Some chairs are available for the disabled and early arrivals.

Next concert, Aug. 10 — Cody Rentas Band (blues).

■ PORT TOWNSEND — Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Blackey Sheridan (classic and and modern rock).

This is part of Concerts on the Dock, presented every Thursday through Sept. 1 by the Port Townsend Main Street Program and the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce at the newly renovated downtown Pope Marine Park plaza at Water and Madison streets.

No seating provided, but there are usually some tents.

Dos Okies BBQ food is available, as is a beer and wine garden.

Next concert, Aug. 11 — Locust Street Taxi (ska, pop and swing).
