PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) and schools from around Clallam County will be collaborating on the 2022 Battle of the Books.
NOLS staff will conduct a monthly discussion group on Zoom for fourth-grade students at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of February, March and April.
Applications are open to all fourth grade students in Clallam County, including home-schooled students.
Applications are available at www.nols.org/battle-of-the-books and can be turned in to participating teachers or the nearest NOLS branch library.
Participating students will receive copies of all three books to keep.
A final trivia competition will be on Zoom from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 29.
The books in this year’s program are: “Stella Díaz Has Something to Say” by Angela Dominguez, Feb. 17; Dragons in a Bag” by Zetta Elliott, March 17; and “The Cardboard Kingdom” by Chad Sell, April 21.
Students must register for each book discussion group separately.
