CHIMACUM — Fred Sharpe and Forest Shomer will present “Chimacum Prairie Historical Ecology: An Evening Slide Lecture”at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The free lecture is at Finnriver Orchard and Cidery, 124 Center Road.
Sharpe and Shomer will discuss the historical ecology of this prairie ecosystem and explain how prairie ecology and ancient food systems are climate change resilient, soil enhancing and immune to supply chain disruptions.
The lecture is free, but the presenters hope that attendees will support the Chimacum Springs Longhouse
