THIS WEEK, WE’VE got jazz, blues, big band, metal, country, bluegrass and all kinds of live music in between, some of which could be crabby — uh, that is if you attend the Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival this weekend in Port Angeles.

Port Angeles
■ Tonight at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, come on down for Jerry’s Country Jam from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Friday and Saturday, the Jimmy Hoffman Band returns for two nights of dancing from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Jimmy covers country rock, classics and original tunes for your listening and dancing enjoyment.
■ On Saturday at the Junction Roadhouse, junction of U.S. Highway 101 and state Highway 112 five miles west of Port Angeles, Junkyard Jane returns to Port Angeles with its own brand of country-rocking-blues from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Over the years, Junkyard Jane has been one of the more popular bands to cross the Puget Sound to Port Angeles. $5 cover.
On Sunday, Johnnie Mustang hosts the Sunday Junction Blues Jam from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. There have been some great jams and blues improvisations lately. Come and join in.
On Wednesday, Jason Mogi and Paul Stehr-Green are now joined every week by Kim Trenerry for an eclectic mix of music gleaned from Deadwood Revival, SuperTrees, Tongue and Groove, Grateful Dead tunes and more. This new trio is sure to liven up your Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.
■ On Friday, growing Port Angeles favorite BluMeadows returns to Bar N9ne, 229 W. First St., with funk, blues, soul, modern and old-school rock from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. $5 cover.
On Saturday, another growing favorite, the Bucky Briggs Band featuring vocalist Miss Jenn, will get you moving and grooving from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. $3 cover.
■ Cort and Kia Armstrong transform Wine on the Waterfront at The Landing mall at 115 Railroad Ave. into an old mountain grange hall barn dance in the southern Appalachians on Friday. They cover country blues, fiddle, honky-tonk and more on guitar and doghouse (upright) bass from 8 p.m. $3 cover.
On Saturday, local Latin jazz combo Tanga will help you dance off your Crab Fest overindulgence at 8:30 p.m. This hot ensemble consists of local jazz heavyweights Kevin MacCartney, Ed Donohue, Jim Rosand and Tom Svornich. $5 cover
■ On Friday, Les Wamboldt and Olde Tyme Country perform at the Fairmount Restaurant, 1127 W. U.S. Highway 101, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Dave and Rosalie Secord and the Luck of the Draw Band play old-time music with guest He-ey Joe! Dziak for an eclectic mix from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
■ Ferris fans, Charlie’s back in town for one night only, Monday at the Bushwhacker, 1527 E. First St. Catch Charlie’s renditions of hit parade tunes from the 1950s to 1970s from your favorites such as Presley, Darin, Sinatra, Dean and Tony Martin, and more from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A very fine dinner hour(s) indeed.
■ Every Tuesday evening at the Port Angeles Senior Center, Seventh and Peabody streets, the Port Angeles Senior Swingers present Wally and the Boys playing ballroom dance favorites for the dancing pleasure of all adults 45 years and older from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. $5 cover, first-timers free.
■ On Wednesday at Dupuis Restaurant, 256861 U.S. Highway 101, Bob and Dave play blues with a brew and barbecue from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Sequim and Blyn
■ On Friday, the Discovery Bay Pirates jump ship and come aboard at the Oasis Bar and Grill, 301 E. Washington St., from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
On Saturday, rock with Robot Pi at 9 p.m.
On Wednesday, glide in for Final Approach and some boomer music from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
■ On Saturday at the Three Crabs Restaurant, 11 3 Crabs Road, Denny Secord entertains country style from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
■ On Friday at Rainshadow Coffee Roasting, 157 W. Cedar St., Fret Noir performs with a variety of instruments and new tunes that will rock and/or melt your heart from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
■ Locozonly, siblings Kevin Lee Magner and Mary Magner with Scott Bradley, performs original and select covers at Damiana’s Wine Bar and Bistro, 143 W. Washington St., from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in celebration of First Friday.
■ At The Buzz, 128 N. Sequim Ave., Kelly Thomas and Victor Reventlow host the very popular and rousing open mic Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
■ On Friday at Stymie’s Bar & Grill at Cedars at Dungeness, 1965 Woodcock Road, Racheal and Barry play classic rock and Motown from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
■ On Friday at Club Seven Lounge at 7 Cedars Casino, Blyn, the Randy Linder Band plays a tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival and Bob Seger along with many other classics of the day from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
On Saturday, Tina Hart (Soul’d Out) and her new band, Social Network, play newer dance and party tunes from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
On Sunday, new to Club Seven, Soul Power Posse plays country with a Cajun twist from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On Monday, join Barry Burnett and world-class drummer Tom Svornich for We Be Jammin’, so bring your ax or tickled tonsils and join the fun from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Port Townsend
■ Tonight at The Upstage, 923 Washington St., Mike Murray and Chele’s Kitchen Band will surprise you at 6 p.m. Voluntary cover.
On Friday, the Crow Quill Night Owls play their jug band and ragtime music reminiscent of country blues, hillbilly and pre-World War II jazz at 8 p.m. $5 cover.
On Wednesday, charismatic songster Lauren Sheehan takes you on a trip from ballads through boozy Memphis, Tenn., blues to old-time banjo tunes with a trip down old country roads to eclectic modern folk at 7:30 p.m. $5 cover for seniors, $8 for those younger than 30.

■ On Saturday at Castle Key, Seventh and Sheridan streets, Seattle’s hot jazz band Pearl Django romps from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. $15 cover.

■ On Saturday, Centrum presents a big-band concert by participants in the Big Band Workshop in the Wheeler Theater at Fort Warden State Park at 7:30 p.m. $10 cover.
■ On Saturday, Washington Old Time Fiddlers play live music at the Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road, Sequim. All-players jam from noon to 1:30 p.m., performance from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Free and open to the public. Donations support scholarships. More information is at http://d15.wotfa.org.
■ The Port Angeles Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival music program begins Friday at Crab Central in the Red Lion Hotel parking lot, 221 N. Lincoln St., with Sarah Shea and Chez Jazz from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Saturday’s bands are Haywire (country), Pearl Django (hot club jazz), Sarah Shea (jazz), Bound to Happen (American rock) and Abby Mae & the Homeschool Boys from 11 a.m. through 8:30 p.m.
On Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., join Abby Mae & the Homeschool Boys along with the Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers at The Gateway pavilion for a Crab Revival.
On Sunday at Crab Central, Korakana (West African music), Towering Inferno Orchestra (1920s to ’30s jazz), Blue Rooster (mountain blues) and Fret Noir (guitar duo) perform from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There isn’t a crabby band in the bunch!
