PORT ANGELES — The Clallam Conservation District will kick off a series of farm tours at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The first tour will be at the 80-acre Dungeness Valley Creamery in Sequim.
The tour will highlight the beef and dairy farm’s tumble wheel style rotational grazing management plan.
Attendees will also learn about large and small irrigation systems as well how to base nutrient applications on the results of soil testing.
Due to space limitations, participants must register at www.clallamcd.org.
Future tours include the Honky Donkey Care Farm, in Carlsborg, on Thursday, Aug. 12, and Bent Gate Farms, in Agnew, on Tuesday, Aug. 24.
