Cheesemaking class Aug. 5

PORT TOWNSEND — A one-day course on making fresh mozzarella cheese will be held at Mt. Townsend Creamery from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6.

Vermont cheesemaker Peter Dixon will discuss the history of mozzarella, recipes, and equipment and methods for production.

The class costs $100.

Mt. Townsend Creamery is located at 338 Sherman St., about one and a half miles west of downtown Port Townsend, south of Sims Way.

Class size is limited.
