SEQUIM — Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society’s “Beginners and Newcomers” birdwalk is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
The walk will begin at the Dungeness River Audubon Center, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road.
This short, guided free walk is family friendly; the Railroad Bridge and Olympic Discovery Trail are paved and appropriate for those with limited mobility.
The walk will feature birds commonly found at feeders in Sequim in the winter, bird feeding tips and the opportunity to discuss other places in Sequim to see birds. Binoculars may be available to borrow.
Each of the four seasons, the “Beginners and Newcomers” series walks focus on birds typically found in the area.
