Opposes school construction levies

I have been a resident of Port Angeles for more than 70 years, before paved streets and before they built Franklin Elementary School, the current Port Angeles High School, Hamilton Elementary School, Stevens Middle School and the current Roosevelt Elementary School.

A large part of the core houses in Port Angeles were and are still here.

For the most part these houses are still viable and lived in.

In order for someone to build a 2,000 square foot house at the rate for the proposed new school it would cost $1 million.

I love my family and yours, but I do not have the means to provide them a new $1 million dollar house.

I, like most people, take care of what I have.

Questions:

Is the need real?

Are there other options?

Can we really afford this?

Are upgrades viable?

I am compelled to vote no.
