LETTERS: Without emergency facilities, Sequim not the place for MAT clinic

Is it prudent to put a medication-assisted treatment facility in an area that does not have a hospital, and more importantly, an emergency room?

Of course not. It is wrong on so many levels.

All one has to do is look around and see what has happened in Seattle, Lacey, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

“If you build it they will come” from all over — addicts, drug dealers, and heavy hitters like the cartel.

We have treatment already available in our community.

Sequim is not the place for this.
