LETTERS: Trusts tribe, council on facility question

I attended the medication-assisted treatment facility meetings at Sequim’s Guy Cole Event Center.

I had done some research but wanted to hear both sides.

To say I was appalled by the behavior of the Save Our Sequim members is an understatement.

These people were rude, obnoxious and extremely discourteous to any speaker with an opposing opinion.

Later, someone said to me it was like a “mob mentality.”

It truly was.

We live in America and everyone has a right to voice an opinion; however, where has common decency, kindness and respect for our fellow woman and man disappeared to?

I, myself, have even been verbally attacked on a personal level regarding this subject.

Can we not be on different sides of a controversial issue yet still be respectful and kind to one another?

I have made up my mind. I trust the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe and our city council more than the group representing SOS.
