I am a marriage and family therapist serving the Sequim area.
My professional contact with people around Sequim is rewarding and, sometimes, very sad and disturbing.
I know many of the families here have loved ones struggling with addiction.
Those individuals, those loved ones, may be in this area or far away.
Wherever they are I hope and pray they can find their way to a good treatment center (and treatment centers vary greatly in their approaches).
What is it that allows the people of Sequim to say “no” to a good treatment center here?
For me, that question is sad and disturbing.
