It is my understanding that the council elects a mayor from among its membership.
My questions are:
Why did the council elect William Armacost as mayor knowing that he is a QAnon believer?
Do council members share similar beliefs?
As residents of Sequim, Mr. Armacost does not represent our views.
I accept only verifiable facts, scientific evidence and the ability of people to work together for the common good.
Mr. Armacost has embarrassed the city council, as well as the city of Sequim, with his endorsement of unfounded and harmful conspiracy rhetoric.
I urge the council to choose another mayor and bring back Charles Bush as city manager.
He did good work for the city.
