LETTERS: Arrogance of letter writer is textbook elitism

The insulting opinion expressed by the letter writer in the July 21 Letters to the Editor concerning the Peninsula Daily News’ Sunday “Speaking Out” feature [“Speaking Out”] and the citizens who are asked questions as part of the feature is a textbook example of politically correct elitism.

Those not in lockstep with their agendas are considered ignorant, ill-informed, stupid, racist lightweights whose opinions are unworthy of consideration.

The political polarization infecting and paralyzing our country today is a direct result of these narrow-minded people who think they are the smartest, most savvy citizens of all time and damnation is ours if “we” don’t follow their ill-advised tenets.

How arrogant.
