LETTER:Butler helpful

My wife and I moved to Sequim on Oct. 23.

We were unloading our trailer, and a bearded guy out for a run trotted into our driveway.

“Can I help?” he asked.

We did the mutual introductions, and he wound up carrying some seriously heavy stuff; he even ended his run a bit ahead of schedule.

His name is Dan Butler.

I came to learn, thanks to Google, that Dan has made a lifetime career of helping other people.

He’s running for Sequim City Council Position 2.

Dan interrupted a different sort of run, just to help us.

We can’t vote in the upcoming election, we just arrived here, but knowing about his long career of service and experiencing his helpful, generous energy, we’d vote for Dan in a heartbeat.

“Can I help?” Dan Butler asked us.

He’s spent his life helping people.

We said yes.

And we hope the voters will say yes to Dan Butler on election day.
