There are many different views about the effectiveness of our representatives in Washington.
Yet for the tens of thousands of veterans and their families on the North Olympic Peninsula, Senator Patty Murray stands out.
She used her position on the senate veterans affairs committee and worked with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to start and then expanded our terrific VA North Olympic Peninsula medical clinic.
The clinic has been a huge benefit to veterans, saving thousands of hours on the highway formerly needed to get help in Seattle or American Lake.
Senator Murray knew how much we needed that clinic and she worked successfully for our community.
