LETTER:Animal cruelty, drugs

I often see articles that disgust me but, by far, the worst are regarding animal cruelty and drugs.

This Sunday’s PDN article “Muzzled Puppies” really angered me.

It takes a sick mind to treat an innocent puppy the way these drug dealers did but I fear that we will see even worse if we don’t pass, and enforce, some drastic drug laws.

Next to politics, our nation’s biggest threat is drugs.

If we had penalties that would put the fear of God into anyone thinking of dealing it would be a good start.

My choice would be lethal injection, as drug dealing is akin to murder in the long run.

Next best choice would be a minimum of 40 years at hard labor with no chance of parole and none of the amenities that are afforded today’s prisoners.

Today’s revolving door policies are a joke and must be stopped.

While I have no sympathy for those who take drugs, I have absolutely none for those enablers who are aiding in their downward spiral.

Permanently removing that one link in the chain will certainly help.
