LETTER: Why is there still a stop indicator at the Nippon mill on the way to Ediz Hook?

The other day, I drove out to Ediz Hook.

I haven’t had any reason to go to that side of Port Angeles since March 31, and I was amazed at people who are stopping at the stop sign at the McKinley Paper Co. mill [formerly Nippon Paper Industries USA].

There is chain-link fencing along the whole mill property, so what is the need to have people stop?

So, to help with global warming, cover the stop signs and turn off the blinking stop light.

Cars put out the most pollution when accelerating.
