LETTER: White evangelical Trump supporters OK with president’s behavior

I was raised in a Southern Baptist evangelical church, graduated from Baylor University and do not understand white evangelical Trump supporters.

These Christians were the first to condemn Clinton for having sex in the Oval Office and then lying about it and are now totally fine with all of the hundreds of proven sins President Donald Trump has committed.

I am mystified as to why.

I questioned a teacher and Trump supporter at a large Christian academy on the southwest side of Houston, Texas.

He hates the wall that separates church and state.

I asked him if the wall were not there, couldn’t a public school teach, or force, non-Christian prayers and rituals on children? Would he be OK if his Christian children had to go to a public school where they were taught satanic prayers and rituals?

He answered, I would not like it but if the majority in that area agreed, then I would be OK with my Christian children being taught satanic prayers and rituals in the local public school.

His goal is to force Christianity on as many as possible in violation of our Constitution.

My question to white evangelical Trump supporters is how can you justify your condemnation of Clinton, support Trump, and want to violate our Constitution?

A malignant cancer seems to be growing in American white evangelical churches.
