LETTER: Unfair to radicalize agenda in education

What is a fair other than a period of time when children and adults bring the things that they have created to a central location where people from the community can enjoy looking at what their friends and neighbors have created?

Other dictionary definitions of “fair” are: beautiful, charming, flawless, clean, pure, legible, marked by impartiality and honesty and free from self-interest, prejudice or favoritism.

In the May 2019 issue of Faith and Justice, Ryan T. Anderson writes about a “Fairness for All” proposal which supporters say, would “balance the concerns of the LGBT community and the religious community, and why the bill cannot achieve that balance.”

Anderson writes this about legislative action supporting the LGBT agenda that claims to be fair (including the Equality Act), “It’s not about freedom. It’s about imposing a new ideology on everybody else.”

This is precisely the same observation that I have made about the Port Angeles School Board and their support of the FLASH curriculum.

Whenever one group of people pass laws that controls/restricts the process of educating our children it can only create turmoil, conflict, confusion and division.

There is nothing fair, beautiful, charming, flawless, clean, pure or free from self-interest or prejudice about these laws.

Radical LGBT activists have weaponized our legislative bodies, courts and school boards.

I long for a fair time to come again; I hope it comes soon.
