LETTER: Trump wouldn’t make it at Air Force Academy

High standards

In response to the June 6 Peninsula Voices letter, “Attacks on president.”

The Air Force Academy’s honor code, considered so critical in future Air Force leaders that violators are expelled, states: “We will not lie, steal or cheat, nor tolerate among us anyone who does.”

Life and death in war hinges on the belief in, and the obeying of, lawful orders issued by your chain of command.

Trump’s falsehoods total more than 10,000 in less than three years as president, according to media sources.

His cheating and theft from contractors on his projects prior to his election are well-documented.

Trump would not make it through his first day as an Air Force Academy cadet.

If current graduates, our future Air Force leaders are, as you say, “… so proud to call Don J Trump his [their] commander-in-chief,” then our military is abandoning a corner stone of our success in Normandy 75 years ago and faces a very troubling future.
