No-show for vets
On Dec. 20 a letter writer listed all the names that Donald Trump has been called but he left out one name that could be used to sum Trump up: disgraceful.
Trump being a no-show in France on Nov. 10 at the World War I memorial site to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the first world war because it was raining (really?) was a disgrace to this country.
Other world leaders attended as did General John Kelly and chairman of the joint chiefs, General Joe Dunford.
He did not even try to redeem himself once he was home by attending commemoration events at Arlington National Cemetery on Veterans Day because, as he stated to Chris Wallace in a Nov. 19 interview, that he was “extremely busy on calls” again, really?
He disgraced us and continues to do so in front of the whole world.
We, as a nation, deserve better than this.
