LETTER: Time to replace old Doonesbury comic strip

I was in the third grade in 1941 and I am writing this because of the comics.

I read them every day — rain or shine.

I, too, do not find the old Doonesbury comic relevant or funny.

We get enough of dirty tricks and dictators in the news.

That is the state of the world.

We need something funny or heartwarming to start the day.

Please consider finding a comic strip that is happy, gentle or funny.

It is not breakfast without the Peninsula Daily News.

Pat Nix,
