Hey, Washington Democrats, take a breath.
The state gets a pandemic revenue windfall of several billion, and you’re spending all of it?
How about a sales tax cut?
We have the most regressive tax system among all states.
With inflation increasing the cost of basic goods, the burden on low- and middle-income residents is increasing.
Cut us a break.
Toss $1 billion, or even $2 billion, back to taxpayers.
Spending all $7 billion will increase the two-year state budget by 25 percent.
That’s not sustainable.
Cut taxes so we can take a breath.
