Citizens of all of Jefferson County, I am confident that we agree that we all deserve a dedicated, hardworking, and fair-minded District Court judge.
We have just such a candidate.
Attorney Mindy Walker certainly posses these characteristics, but she offers so much more.
Her wide range of experiences in courts both in and beyond Jefferson County has provided her with the skill set needed to bring a new level of jurisprudence that will better serve the needs of all residents of all of our very large county.
As one example, access to court matters. It takes a whole day for fellow Jefferson County residents with court business to make the round trip to Port Townsend from the West End to appear in the only district courtroom in the county.
Candidate Walker has identified a possible solution and is working with her Clallam County counterpart to, if elected, arrange use of the Forks courtroom, as necessary, to better serve the needs of our West End Jefferson County residents.
Mindy’s rationale in this matter is just one indicator of the forward looking nature and constructive mindset of this dedicated professional.
Special note to West Enders: This woman is no pushover. Before completing law school she spent years as a hot shot firefighter protecting our forests and the folks who work there.
