LETTER: Supports Doherty for Clallam County commissioner

I have worked with Mike Doherty for several years, including throughout the Planning for Climate Change for the North Olympic Peninsula project, where I was the project manager and Doherty was a member of the core team of local stakeholders that helped guide the project.

During that two-county climate vulnerability and adaptation grant-funded study, Doherty was a great asset in identifying resources and opportunities for Clallam County and Jefferson County to work together to benefit the entire North Olympic Peninsula region.

He has also participated in several Local 20/20 action groups that I am involved with, including those on energy and climate change.

Recommendations from these groups are used to guide local actions and occasionally are provided to the city of Port Townsend and to the Jefferson County commissioners.

At all times, I have witnessed Mike Doherty acting with the utmost respect for all participants, including myself and other women.

I urge the citizens of Clallam County to elect Mike Doherty Clallam County commissioner again.

We all need his energy and his informed leadership.

Cindy Jayne,

Port Townsend
