LETTER: Supports Brian Pruiett for the 24th District

From Sequim

Did you hear?

Brian Pruiett’s Democratic opponent has turned around and endorsed him, Pruiett says on his campaign site, https://www.facebook.com/Vote4Pruiett/.

Darren Corcoran ran as preferring the Democratic Party in the 2020 Primary election for 24th District Legislator, Position 2.

His biggest issues are enforcing $30 car tabs and protecting rights of gun owners.

He received 8 percent of the vote districtwide.

After the election, Pruiett, who is running as a Republican, reached out to Democrat Corcoran noting that they agreed on these two issues and, likely, there would be other issues that they could agree on.

After meeting, Brian won Mr. Corcoran’s endorsement, even putting a “Vote 4 Pruiett” sign in his yard, Pruiett said.

Brian also received the full endorsement of Jodi Wilke, his Republican opponent in the primary race.

Thirty-dollar car tabs as an issue is very important to many people in the 24th District.

It sits much deeper in their consciousness than the actual price of registering your car every year.

It has to do with a legislature that is willing to totally disregard the will of the people when they speak in a clear, decisive voice, in a legally held and formally counted election.

Such actions by people we send to Olympia, supposedly to represent us, is unacceptable and should not be tolerated.

Let’s enforce the will of the people.

Let’s enforce $30 car tabs. Let’s vote for Brian Pruiett for the 24th District.
