Suggested change to format for presidential, vice-presidential and other debates:
The moderator asks the first candidate for a two-minute response to a question.
During that period, the microphone of the other candidate and their picture is turned off.
When given 30 seconds for a challenge response, the microphone and picture of the initial candidate is turned off.
The same procedure applies when the second candidate is asked the same question.
