Sequim School District employees are forcing the public to use internet-connected computers to apply for a job within their organization.
The application process itself is difficult in the areas of references and uploads — which are required to submit the application.
If their checklist is not complete, you cannot apply, according to the district’s website.
They have removed the option of a printed form on paper.
Of course, they are assuming that everyone owns a computer with internet access and is proficient in all the applications.
This is a grand assumption on their part.
The problem with their policy is that it discriminates against people.
It excludes those without the means or knowledge of computer ownership.
It also reflects on the character of the employees who ignore these things.
This is a bad policy.
Offer the paper option to the public.
They should be helping people, not hindering them.
