LETTER: Recent writers reveal pratings of progressivism

In the PDN’s Nov. 13 Commentary Page, two letters stand out: “Band together” and “Impending storm,” both of which may be relegated to the file headed by “pratings from the ranks of the sore losers.”

Referencing “Impending storm,” the writer has anglicized “Kristallnacht,” “Night of broken glass,” which does not capture the horror and the evil, nor is it in any way relevant to our national election.

I’m going to rebut both of these letters by paraphrasing P.J. O’Rourke. At the core of progressivism is the spoiled child — miserable as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied, demanding, ill-disciplined, disrespectful, despotic and useless. Indeed, progressivism is the philosophy of the sniveling brat.

Finally, the denizens of “fly-over country” have stated enough is enough.
