LETTER: Recent letter writer on Michelle Malkin stole my thunder

I take issue with the March 20 letter to Peninsula Voices “Open-minded.”

The issue is, the letter writer stole my thunder.

As I’ve struggled for weeks to write a letter to the editor with some wise, nonpartisan importance, the writer laid out a calm, logical and obviously sensible approach to the Peninsula Daily News’ Commentary page.

All I can do now is try to add to it with some written words from Thomas Jefferson.

In an Aug. 10, 1787, letter to Peter Carr, Jefferson said: “… neither believe nor reject anything because any other persons, or description of persons have rejected or believed it. Your own reason is the only oracle given you by heaven.”
