LETTER: Outraged by governor’s, president’s expenses picked up by taxpayers

I fully sympathize with the letter to the editor writer “Like little people” (PDN, June 30) as far as taxpayers are concerned.

Our governor is running around the country campaigning for president and “us little people” are paying for his security staff.

It’s almost amusing. Have you, fellow taxpayer, by any chance checked just how much we are paying for the current resident in the White House’s expenditures regarding golf outings to Mar-a-Lago [Florida] and other in-house golf courses?

Air Force One flying to rallies throughout the country from day one?

Talk about public service with a work day beginning at 11 a.m.

Good for us and the country, less time spent in office means less damage to the country.

Other taxpayer’s expenditures: a reported $750-a-day per detained child in Trump camps in deplorable conditions — benefiting corporations with government contracts, again our tax money.

I, as one of the “little people,” strongly object to have my tax dollars go to these projects.

Make America think again.
