LETTER: Opposes socialism

Democratic socialism is an oxymoron, like a square circle.

Democracy is power held by the people while socialism is power held by the state.

They’re mutually exclusive.

Once socialism is in place, democracy ceases to exist.

Another nonsense term is the word “free.”

Politically, free means money with strings attached conditionally given to one citizen after being forcibly removed from another.

The government has no money they don’t take from those who earn it.

This lie is sold using envy and hate.

We’ll take it from the evil rich, they say.

The evil rich have tax breaks the poor don’t have.

We’ll make them pay their fair share.

Of course, nobody defines what the fair share is.

The rich didn’t get that way by letting the government take their money.

So, since the poor have nothing to take, the evil rich turns out to be the middle class.

A perfect example is the disappearing middle class in California.

The California middle class is shrinking without a corresponding increase in the number of rich.

Finally, a review of history shows that all socialist governments immediately become like fascism, which is the modern word for feudalism.

Feudalism was sustained by disarming the people, maintaining an army and a church to preach that God willed the king and nobles rule.

Fascism replaced the church with an educational system, but the army remains an army.

All that’s missing right now in America is an unarmed population.

The liars are working hard on that one.
