Congressional and senatorial representatives in Washington, D.C., legislators in Olympia and the county commissioners — all elected public servants — need to consider when they are making a new tax that they are putting senior citizens in a canoe and sending them out to sea without a paddle.
People on Medicare and Medicaid work at jobs to qualify for Social Security. Now they don’t receive the same quality of care as those with private or employer-paid insurance.
Public servants and elected officials are making laws, but they don’t think about us.
We’re in a state of economic depression, the gas prices are escalating, the cost of living is high and we are losing the programs we need to help our communities, youth, single parents, vulnerable adults and homeless who need jobs and mental health care.
I don’t want any new road taxes or gas taxes.

The public servants ought to drive the roads we have to drive. They would do better in oversight if they did.
We senior citizens are statistics, too, and by law contribute. There isn’t any heart for the elderly and poor.
