On the front page of the Dec. 29 PDN an article states that the Port Angeles City Council’s No. 1 issue is a progressive tax which “puts a greater share of the tax burden on higher-income earners.”
This is a form of income tax which is not permitted in our state.
Should this tax become a law, it would only crack the door to ultimately go for an income tax for everyone.
Our city and city council is starting to resemble that of Seattle in many ways.
It is time to elect a change in our city government.
